Markets Live: Strong week for ASX

The Australian sharemarket has posted a fourth straight day of gains, but finished well off the day's highs, with shares in mining companies again leading the way.

The home of the popular pub Jacksons on George is on the market with developers, investors and hotel operators alike, showing a keen interest.
It is being sold by Marcus Ayres and Stephen Parbery, directors of PPB Advisory who were appointed in May as Receivers and Managers to a number of companies within the Kavia Holdings Group, which owned the Jacksons on George pub.
The sale covers the four storey property at 174-176A George Street, which includes the pub, its 24 hour liquor licence, 30 gaming machines, the restaurant and the nightclub.
The selling agents for the property are Jones Lang LaSalle’s directors, John Musca, Sam Handy and James Aroney.
